Timbers return home and host Real Salt Lake on Saturday

The Timbers hope to recover from a disappointing road result in New England last week as they host Real Salt Lake on Saturday night at JELD-WEN Field.

The Timbers did well against Real Salt Lake last season, winning 1-0 on April 30 on a goal by Kenny Cooper, and then earning their only stoppage time comeback of the season in the last seconds of the season in Salt Lake City when Futty Danso scored to earn a 1-1 draw.

The Timbers are also scheduled to debut their new third kit on Saturday, which is a white kit which very much reflects the NASL style.  It will be the first time the Timbers have worn white at home since a July 11, 2010 win over Mexico’s Atlas on penalty kicks.
