MLS Timbers in Dallas while U-23s in playoffs in Calfornia

Ventura College hosts the Timbers U-23s for their playoff match tonight

The MLS Timbers and the U-23s will both be in action tonight at the same time as the Timbers U-23s will be playing in Ventura, Calfornia at 5:00pm against the host Ventura County Fusion in the Western Conference Semifinals.  It will be the first trip outside the Northwest for the U-23s, who won the Western Conference title in Kitsap, Washington in 2010 before winning the PDL final four at home that year.  The match will be broadcast live on the KADY-TV Website.

Ventura did host the MLS Timbers before the 2011 MLS debut season when the Timbers played their first exhibition match there, a 1-1 draw with Darlington Nagbe getting the lone Timbers goal.

The MLS Timbers are in Dallas tonight, with the match starting at 6:00pm Pacific Time as the Timbers look for their first road win of the season.  The Timbers are also looking to avoid history tonight as they are 77 scoreless minutes away from setting an MLS record for the longest road scoring drought in history, which is 683 minutes, set by the New York Red Bulls in 2009.
