The Portland Timbers have traded goalkeeper Troy Perkins to the Montreal Impact in exchange for Donovan Ricketts.
Perkins has been in goal for every Timbers regular season match since first appearing in a 3-0 loss in Los Angeles to the Galaxy on April 23, 2011, having started the 2011 season injured. His record for the Timbers was 14-23-13 and he had a 1.14 GAA over that period.
Ricketts has appeared in 94 matches for the Galaxy and Impact and has a 1.11 GAA and a 44-26-21 record over that time including a 9-11-3 record in Montreal.
