The Portland Timbers rebounded from their first-ever MLS preseason loss to Kansas City by shutting out their Seattle rivals 1-0 in their third preseason game of the year in Tucson, Arizona.

It was trialist Mikael Silvestre who provided the lone Timbers goal when Seattle failed to clear the ball from their 18-yard box, and the Timbers defender’s shot was partially blocked on the way to net, but trickled in for the lone goal.
