The Portland Timbers have signed Cameroonian midefielder Franck Songo’o. Songo’o has played in England and Spain over the past six years, and recorded four assists during the preseason matches in Los Angeles earlier this month. Songo’o has played for Portsmouth, AFC Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Preston North End, and Sheffield Wednesday in England, and Real Zaragoza and Albacete Balompié, S.A.D. in Spain.
