The final match of the 2023 UKG Challege Cup qualifying round ended in a 0-0 draw between the Thorns and OL Reign. The Reign move on having topped the qualifying, while the Thorns do not move on.
The best chance in the first half for either team was in the 25th minute when the Reign’s Veronica Latsko curled a shot that rang off the left post before being cleared.
Then in the second half, it was Elyse Bennett‘s turn to hit the left post for the Reign, this time from close range, having redirected off Thorns defender Emily Menges. But neither team would find the net and the match would end in a 0-0 draw.
